The SCUBA SIG trip to is scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th to Wednesday, December 11th. This is a DIY trip. This means everyone will need to make their own travel arrangements, including making your own deposits.
Here’s what you need to do to join us at our usual spots, Casa Mar and Dive with Martin:
Hotel Reservations at Casa Mar
Please Note: Casa Mar requires a two-night deposit, and there is no secure online system for this. Follow the steps below:
- Email Your Reservation Request
Send an email to reservations@casadelmarcozumel.com, copy dive@casadelmarcozumel.com, with the following details:
- Your name(s) and contact information
- Number of people in the room
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Type of room you would like
- Mention you are with the Mensa Group
- Call to Confirm and Pay Deposit
Call Laura at Casa del Mar reservations at 011-52-987-872-2444.

Front desk number: 011-52-987-872-1900 (ask for Laura, Gabriela, or Iliana).
- Provide your credit card number over the phone.
- Send a follow-up email authorizing the two-night deposit on your card.
- Wait for a confirmation email from them.
Note: You can also book through the CDM website or a third-party service, but our group rate includes breakfast.

Dive Reservations with Dive with Martin
This process is simpler with online registration:
- Dive Package Information:
Visit Dive with Martin Packages.
- Online Registration:
Use this Registration Form.
- Select "Semi-Private Dive Packages."
- Enter the number of participants, select Check Availability.
- We will be diving from Thursday, December 5th to Tuesday, December 10th (6 days). Choose all or some of these dates.
- Available sessions are 7 AM and 1 PM. Select 1 PM (DWM will pick us up at the CDM dock at 8:30 or 9 AM).
- Fill in your information and specify "Casa del Mar Mensa Group" for the hotel.
- Select your equipment and tank preferences, then proceed to checkout.
- Complete the payment process to receive an email receipt.
Note: If you haven't dived in the last two years, a refresher course is required by DWM. Discounts will be applied before the final payment. Night dives will be booked separately. Please take a screenshot of your confirmation page, as some receipts may not show the deposit amount. They are still improving their system.
